Beer & Oyster Fest

March 21 @ 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm

On Saturday, March 21st, we will be hosting our second annual Manor Hill Beer & Oyster Fest.  This family friendly day of farm fun begins at noon and will feature:

The release of our Longline Chesapeake Oyster Stout in cans and on draught.
(Oyster Stout, 5.2%) – Brewed in collaboration with Upweller Beer Company, we used freshly shucked Sewansecott Oyster shells from the Chesapeake Bay. This jet black beer is crowned with tan foam. It strikes the perfect balance of malty, roasty, and dark chocolatey goodness, with a subtle bitterness and minerality imparted by the oysters. Longline is a tribute to the sustainable oyster farming technique of the same name.

Fresh Local Oysters (shucked to order) from local purveyors and oyster farmers!  While enjoying their fresh oysters, learn about their organizations.

Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland (local non-profit) will be on site to share information on their cause and how vital these bivalves are to the health of the Bay.

Manor Hill Pizza Trolley will be open with brick-oven Neapolitan pizzas, salads, snacks, novelty ice creams, and more!

Live Music from John Benjamin in the Courtyard from 1-4pm

Most of the activities will take place from 12-4pm (or later if we’re having a good time!), but the Farm will be open until 7pm.
No tickets needed, just come and enjoy the day!

The Farm & Taproom will have 13 farm-brewed beers (+ our hard seltzer) on draught and multiple options in cans available to go.  All seating on the Farm is first come, first served.  We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends. (if you bring a tent, don’t forget the weights/stakes).

Our Farm Stand (conveniently located behind the bar) is constantly evolving and is sure to have some locally produced items for sale, including staples like Manor Hill Farm Pickles, Relish, Jellies and more.

INFO ON VISITING THE FARM

While visiting the farm, be sure to check out our agriculture in action.  Our award-winning beers may be our most well-known agricultural product, but our 54-acre working farm has so much more to offer.  In fact, the majority of our land is used for agriculture… so you can’t miss it no matter where you are on the farm!

As you enter the farm, on the right side of the driveway, you will see 14 acres of non-GMO corn. Every single beer brewed at Manor Hill uses this corn in its recipe.  On the left side of the driveway as you enter you will see our 12-acre cow pasture where we host about 20-25 Black Angus Cattle on the farm from Spring to Fall (there is an additional cattle pasture behind the residence).  Directly behind our Taproom, we have a coop with approximately 30 egg-laying hens.  Next to our chicken coop is our goat enclosure featuring Mary and Gilbert, a mother and son set of Pygmy Goats.  Last, but certainly not least, is our array of gardens on the farm that produce various vegetables, fruits, and herbs used in our beer, Trolley pizza, and at our restaurants.  Informational signs on the property as well as our staff can answer any questions you have during your visit.
