Cellared Selection Releases: Purposefully Blass & Purposefully Rojo
September 8 - September 10
Our TASTING ROOM will be open Friday (4-9pm), Saturday (12-7pm) and Sunday (12-7pm) with 13 farm-brewed beers (+ our hard seltzer) on draught and multiple options in cans available to go! We have indoor seating, a covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out.
Beginning Friday (9/8), we will be releasing the next in our Cellared Selections:
Blass (German for “pale”) is our blonde farmhouse ale (10.5%) aged in French Oak with German Gewurztraminer grapes with the express “purpose” of being the ultimate beer-wine hybrid. After five months of barrel aging, this Cellared Selection pours a hazy gold and brings a bouquet of white wine character along with aromas of mandarin orange, white grape, pear, lychee, and honeysuckle. Slightly tart with a subtle sweetness, this medium bodied blend has carbonation that is lively enough to tickle the tongue just before its dry finish. Prost!
Rojo (Spanish for “red”) began as a dark farmhouse ale (11.5%), but our brewers had a much greater “purpose” in mind. Aging in French Oak barrels for five months with additions of Carménère grapes resulted in a deep garnet colored beer-wine hybrid that is full bodied and exceedingly complex. Jammy notes of strawberry, blackberry, cherry, and plum are followed by robust red wine and oak character. The lively carbonation assures your palate that this is beer, while the slight lingering oak tannins are a subtle reminder of its wine influence. Salud!
Friday (9/8): Truckin A
Saturday (9/9): Bullhead Pit Beef
Sunday (9/10): Taco Bar
