First Friday Release: Manor Rising
We are kicking off #DarkBeerSeason early with our much acclaimed coffee stout beginning at 4pm on First Friday 8/7! And not just any coffee stout… a cold brew coffee stout named after the idyllic sunrises here at the farm (follow @manorrising on instagram)! This beer was released last year as a small batch farm-only and people couldn’t get enough of it so we made more and gave it the full First Friday treatment.
Plus… we’ll have Live Music in the courtyard from Jon Watkins (5-8pm)
MANOR RISING (Cold Brew Coffee Stout, 6.5%) – Brewed with cold brew coffee and available just in time for fall, Manor Risin’ is named for the idyllic sunrises that start our day on the farm. This robust brew pours jet black with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate and fresh ground coffee foreshadow the rich and slightly sweet chocolate flavors that are balanced by a familiar coffee bitterness.
Our Farm & Taproom will be open ALL WEEKEND! That means Friday (4-9pm), and Sunday (12-7pm) with 14 taps featuring farm-brewed beers, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic hop water, plus multiple options in cans available to go. All seating on the Farm is first come, first served. We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends.
Our Farm Stand (conveniently located behind the bar) is constantly evolving and is sure to have some locally produced items for sale, including staples like Manor Hill Farm Pickles, Relish, Jellies and more.
Manor Hill Pizza Trolley will be open all weekend serving brick-oven Neapolitan-style pizzas, salads, snacks, and more.
(please note the Pizza Trolley may close one hour before farm closes.)
While visiting the farm, be sure to check out our agriculture in action. Our award-winning beers may be our most well-known agricultural product, but our 54-acre working farm has so much more to offer. In fact, the majority of our land is used for agriculture… so you can’t miss it no matter where you are on the farm!
As you enter the farm, on the right side of the driveway, you will see 14 acres of non-GMO corn. Every single beer brewed at Manor Hill uses this corn in its recipe. On the left side of the driveway as you enter you will see our 12-acre cow pasture where we host about 20-25 Black Angus Cattle on the farm from Spring to Fall (there is an additional cattle pasture behind the residence). Directly behind our Taproom, we have a coop with approximately 30 egg-laying hens. Next to our chicken coop is our goat enclosure featuring Mary and Gilbert, a mother and son set of Pygmy Goats. Last, but certainly not least, is our array of gardens on the farm that produce various vegetables, fruits, and herbs used in our beer, Trolley pizza, and at our restaurants. Informational signs on the property as well as our staff can answer any questions you have during your visit.
Note that our Pizza Trolley & other food trucks may close one hour before the farm closes. Please check back regularly as this schedule can change as the date approaches.
