Cellared Selection Release: Port & Pasture
Beginning Friday, October 10, we will be releasing the next installment in our Cellared Selections. Port & Pasture will be available in 500 ml bottles and on draught, while supplies last.
This release continues our tradition of crafting thoughtful beer/wine hybrids, bringing together the best of both worlds in a way that feels both familiar and entirely new. White port, a unique and less common style of fortified wine from Portugal, lends Port & Pasture its exotic edge. After 11 months of aging in these rare barrels, the saison emerges with added depth and orchard fruit character. It pours a slightly hazy deep golden hue with a delicate white foam. The aroma opens with spiced pears and sweet honeysuckle, layered with white wine notes, gentle wood, and subtle spice. On the palate, it offers a graceful balance of light tartness and soft sweetness, finishing with a lingering vinous quality. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation, this farmhouse ale carries both rustic charm and refined barrel nuance in every sip.
The Farm will be open Friday (4-9pm), Saturday (12-7pm) and Sunday (12-7pm) with 13 farm-brewed beers (+ our hard seltzer) on draught and multiple options in cans available to go! All seating on the Farm is first come, first served. We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends (if you bring a tent, don’t forget the weights/stakes).
Manor Hill Pizza Trolley will be open all weekend with Neapolitan-style brick oven pizzas, snacks, salads, novelty ice creams, and more!
(please note the Pizza Trolley may close one hour before farm closes.)
While visiting the farm, be sure to check out our agriculture in action. Our award-winning beers may be our most well-known agricultural product, but our 54-acre working farm has so much more to offer. In fact, the majority of our land is used for agriculture… so you can’t miss it no matter where you are on the farm!
As you enter the farm, on the right side of the driveway, you will see 14 acres of non-GMO corn. Every single beer brewed at Manor Hill uses this corn in its recipe. On the left side of the driveway as you enter you will see our 12-acre cow pasture where we host about 20-25 Black Angus Cattle on the farm from Spring to Fall (there is an additional cattle pasture behind the residence). Directly behind our Taproom, we have a coop with approximately 30 egg-laying hens. Next to our chicken coop is our goat enclosure featuring Mary and Gilbert, a mother and son set of Pygmy Goats. Last, but certainly not least, is our array of gardens on the farm that produce various vegetables, fruits, and herbs used in our beer, Trolley pizza, and at our restaurants. Informational signs on the property as well as our staff can answer any questions you have during your visit.
Note that our Pizza Trolley & other food trucks may close one hour before the farm closes. Please check back regularly as this schedule can change as the date approaches.
